Pre-BBQ Shore dive - Burn off those calories with a rigorous shore dive before your afternoon BBQ.

Conditions Remain excellent this weekend for the Palos Verdes Peninsula sheltered by Catalina.

High Tide is about NOON.

Virtually no Surf Expected
May need to go down Honeymoon and then back up Christmas tree cove.

Level of Skill: Advanced (Highly Recommended)

Depth of Location: 30-40 feet (most reef shallower)

When to Dive: Preferable High Tide (avoid low tide)
What you may find: Larger variety of fish, larger, and healthier reef then anywhere in mainland SoCal.
Site Hazards: Somewhat steep hike down hill, Rocky Entry
Site Facilities: None

How to get there:

Honeymoon cove is located off cliff at intersection of Paseo Del Mar / Via Barri. (Palos Verdes) It is the cove north of Christmas Tree and immediately south of Lunada Bay.

May do an earlier time depending who signs up for it.

Looks like another local dive club, the dive vets (divevets.com) will be at Christmas Tree Cove (cove just south of Honeymoon Cove) at 8:00 AM for an early July 4th dive. Also to beat the heat going down the trail..
