The wreck of the Tanya V. off Juan Dolio was also sunk as an artificial reef and diving attraction. This steel-hulled freighter, a well-preserved sugar-carrier sunk in 1999 for divers about eight minutes from the dive center sits upright on the sand in 130 feet. Her main decks rise up to 95 feet.
