This is not a recommended place to dive! Many divers have died here! But swiming and free diving are allowed.

12 scuba divers have died at the site. The dive was eventually declared so dangerous it was sealed off. "You can go down 40 feet but then you hit a metal grate," says Paul Hesley of Canyon Lake Divers. Only specially permitted scientific divers are allowed in now. 

From Ranch Road 12:
- Turn west onto Jacob’s Well Road
- Drive 1.6 miles to stop sign
- Turn Left and drive for .5 miles
- Turn on Pleasant Valley Road and drive .2 miles
- Turn on Woodacre Drive
- Proceed through the condominium complex over the low water crossing on dry Cypress Creek
- Watch for our gate on the right
