Cinco Ribeiras - Terceira, Azores, Portugal is a shore accessible salt water dive site, located in Portugal. This dive site has an average rating of 5.00 out of 5 from 1 scuba divers. The maximum depth is 51-60ft/16-18m. The average visibility is 91-100ft/28-30m.

This dive site is located on the south side of the island of Terceira in the town of Cinco Ribeiras about 11 km or 15 min from the city Angra do Heroismo. This is one of the most popular dive spots among the scuba divers on the island. The site is a public swimming area with natural pools among the lava rock and has a boat ramp with access to the ocean. This site also includes a complex of caves formed from cooled lava tubes which are connected by some narrow spaces and passageways. Divers can enter via the ladder or giant stride from the concrete platform then decent in about 15 feet of water and head south / south west following the wall on the right side. Opposite of the wall it is possible to observe schools of fish such as mackerel, barracuda, and occasional tuna. There are then two points of entry for the caves. The caves are covered in shrimp and you can also observe several species of nudibranchs and anemone on the wall. Inside the caves are also moray eels. Outside of the cave entrance you can occasionally encounter large sting rays. This is probably one if not the best shore entry type dive on the island.

For a shore dive as good as it gets, relatively easy access and proximity to the area of interest the wall and caves. Lots of fish big and small, very diverse. An excellent must do dive on this island.
