A friend and I went back Monday to look for Andy’s Snorkel. We didn’t find it, but we did find four sunken wooden boats—all less than 30 feet. There really is quite a bit to see in BG lake. There were multiple schools of fish...and Megan even found a dollar bill at the bottom.

Andy (Ahdi1988) and I were up there this weekend and had a nice dive. The kids were very intrigued and enjoyed talking to us. We showed them some stuff from the bottom including some snails and random trash. The thermocline was very distinct at around 18 feet and we didn’t spend much time past it because we didn’t dress for the cold. Vis was pretty good considering the muck. We had 15-20 feet vis above 20 feet depth. Over-all a nice freshwater dive.

Not a bad dive area for training. Swimming area fills up quickly on decent days if you’re trying to stay in shallower waters.

We in the Northwest go diving up in Salt Water. So when we come back, we dive in here for out "fresh water rinse off dive". That and pumpkin carving is about all it’s good for. Terrible viz most of the time, and watch out for fishing lines. All in all, enough fun to go there once in a while.
