I went exploring here on 7/10/22. The water was warm and visibility was 5-10 ft. The bottom is muck so be careful. There are a lot of fish in this lake and some neat grassy areas to explore. Interestingly, in most areas there was a wispy smoke-like layer around 10 ft deep that seemed like a halocline.

Park at the small lot on the left at the end of Old Hancock Rd NE, on the southwest end of the lake. There’s a portable toilet; for restrooms you’ll have to pay entry to the park. Follow the small sidewalk into the woods to the trail and follow it about 1/4 mile to the big rocky dam. This looks like the best spot to dive, and is where the lake is deepest. Regrettably I ran out of time and didn’t get that far.

One spot I tried is right before the dam where there’s a sign telling boats to keep away. There’s a submerged pipe here along with some vegetation. Cool but not a smooth entry—go for rocky areas like the dam.
