The Blue Eye is a boat accessible salt water dive site, located in Paeokastritsa, Corfu, Greece. The maximum depth is 81-90ft/25-27m.
An interesting underwater cave labyrinth. The "normal" Blue Eye is a pot shaped cavern with three large exits The first one is at the surface, the second one is at 10m depth and the third one is located at 25m depth. The walls are covered with sponges. Viewed from deep part of the cavern, the exit to the surface looks like a big blue eye. A second cave, the "Great" Blue Eye has its entry at 15m depth. The entry is a narrow passage that widens to a low cavern after a few meters. By diving under a low overhead restriction the diver reaches a crevice which continues vertically to a small chamber at 7m depth. From there a tube shaped passage (the Great Blue Eye) leads to the open sea.
