This dive site is far out into the Coral Sea. It took our boat 12 hours average to get out here this far sailing through the night. In the shallows here at Cocopnut Point there are many swim throughs and small caves. This is big water out towards the wall for the advanced divers.

The deepest dive I have done to this date. BIG WATER! Sharks! Nudibranches, Eagle Rays...

This is the dive site where pulling in I accidently rode the reef pick all the way down past 20m near the ocean floor and reef by accident. I was nuetral in the water as my crew mates handed the reef pick overboard to me with a fully inflated BCD attached to it. I deflated the BCD and the anchor began to take off towards the bottom. I go for my power inflator and it is malfunctioning. I hated to let go of the anchor in fear of damaging reef below so I had to manually inflate my BCD enough to where I could fin to keep nuetral in the water. All was good in the end but I felt very stupid to dumping the air out of the reef picks BCD because the only way to get air back in it was manually as well.

We saw many sharks feeding here. I believe this is also the site where Masa chummed the water with chicken bits while I was in hooking us up one time. I almost never got back to the boat because he had drawn in so many sharks.
