There is a 10-15ft canoe like boat wreck. Fun place to snorkel and dive. Here’s a video of some of the things you can see there.

We dove Ross instead of the Aqua Pit. Viz has improved since a few weeks ago. We did a few SMB deployments to work on Skills. Saw the Ice shanty which has plenty of fish on it.

Last official WND of the season. I took James out to the anchor. Viz was good and the water temp was pleasant all the way out to 40’. We had a great pot luck.

Trash and treasure dive.
Lyle our long time dive admin will be retiring. The sign was placed in the lake and I found it to claim a prize. Pretty incredible considering the viz was only 5 ft at the most.

There’s great
visibility during most of the year in this lake now that Zebra mussels
are well established. There’s a lot of sunken objects both at Ross
township park and Prairieville park.
Prairieville has a submerged
platform for training along with a swing set. Night dives will find you
trying to identify numerous fish.
Ross has a 1930’ish car and several
boats. There’s a set of old railroad tracks about 40’ long. The best
objects are the 28’ iceboat from the early 1900’s and the little guy on
the all aluminum ice shanty that I like to call Scuba Joe.
This lake is a great place to get your Ice Diver certification as the visibility during the winter runs 50’ plus.
Here’s a Topo Map.
