Another place we try and hit each year. Usually warms up sooner than our local site.

Get there early! The quarry gets very murky as divers stir up the bottom. Great for OW students :)

Went diving here 8/11/12. Average viz: 20 - 25ft.  Water temp above thermalcline 73 degrees F.  Vis would have been better however there were about 30 new OW students bouncing off the bottom stirring everything up.  Overall nice place to dive.

I did my certification here in October of 2011. The visibility was at about 30 ft as all the algae was long dead and gone. They have the helicopter, bus, plane, basketball hoop, and several other "sights" to see under water in addition to the very over-friendly fish.

I love having a well-maintained, friendly and affordable dive park just 45 minutes from home. If I didn’t have to work for a living, I’d just spend the whole summer there. And when I get drysuit qualified, I’ll spend the spring and fall too!

I went scuba diving here on 1/1/2012. Average viz: 21-25ft/6-8m. Water temp: 50-55°F/10-13°C.

NYD Dive.  Cold but worth it.  Checked out new helicopter.  Open windshield, doors, and missing tail but tail is tight fit.

How deep is the helicopter and is it near the plan and on a pedistle?

I have been here twice and both times  I have been it has been not as clear as it once was (though one was right after a hard rain storm). Otherwise its a nice place to check out, they have a few cars, boats, an airplane resting on the bottom around 60 ft down, they even have a school bus and I heard working on getting either a tank or a helicopter. Defintely a place to check out and a good place to practice dives at.
