Blue Lagoon - Huntsville TX

Loading...
Best place to dive around the Houston area. Take I-45 North through Huntsville, TX...exit 123 and go right about 4 miles. Entrance is on the left, you’ll see a painted rock that says "Blue Lagoon".

No running water. Porta-potties. No changing rooms (except porta-potties). Several underwater training platforms. Used to be quarry. Two lagoons to choose from. Lagoon 1 is mainly used for training, while Lagoon 2 is used by existing divers.

My wife’s birthday is tomorrow 4/12 and she wants to do a day dive. We are planning on going here this Saturday 4/15/17. Is there anyone planning on or wanting to go? We haven’t dove here yet and it would be great if someone is going or wanting to go and could show us some of the better spots to dive in the lake. None of our friends have their certs and would be fun to meet up with other divers.

Went on 8/14/2016 even though the gulf coast was inundated with heavy rain it missed the lagoon so vis was pretty good @ 10-15 feet. Water temp was 89, air temp was 82. Reminded me of east coast diving minus the 60 degree water ;-)
