Wed. 12/28/16 - Solo dive #11. It was a beautiful, misty morning in the 70’s, for a dive at Ginnie. By the time I arrived at 11 am, the place was packed with divers on both sides (Ballroom and Devil’s system), but there was exactly 1 parking space available for me to tuck in and be comfortable accessing the spring with my gear. Thank you Lord!

Again I crossed paths with more cool divers (one who remembered meeting me last year some time), got a few surface shots for Harry Averill and his students (Lauren & Jon Kieren, & others), and finally met Lee Ann Waggener in person. Saw Dan Patterson and his student, and had a great dive, despite losing my 50’ stainless finger spool with orange line.

My dive was to explore the back opening to Harry’s Crack, which took me down the Bone Line, to the Expressway tunnel jump. I continued to follow the expressway Tunnel to it’s end by the Bone Room. I think I dropped my spool by the small unnamed jump at the end of the Expressway Tunnel, or right by the Bone Line/Expressway intersection, although it could have fallen off between Park Bench and Hill 400, where I confirmed the true entry to Harry’s Crack, but I doubt it.

If anybody finds it, please turn it into the Ginnie office, and they will call me. Thanks. :-)
