Dives 3&4 and Certified!
Well complete dives 3 and 4 today with some problems. 1) it was cold!! Water temp was 37 degrees F! My regulator went free flow on dive 3 at 20ft. Had to go with instructors 2nd reg. First time she’d seen that happen in 300+ dives. Figures with my luck! Then on dive 4 after the mask remove/replace, my mask kept leaking. The dive master candidate that was helping us tried to fix it at depth but to no avail. So, we kept trying until the instructor got back from doing the underwater navigation skil...

Open water dives 1&2
Well, did dives 1 and 2 in Lake Champlain. Water temp was 47 degrees F. Surface temp about 65 degrees. Damn near killed myself doing the regulator recovery. Completely panic and shot to the surface! Well, my instructor had a hold of my leg so I didn’t shoot as fast as I thought! But I did learn from it. In the time I took to get to the surface I could have had my reg back in my mouth and breathing! Duh! Conditions were pretty rough. Visibility was near 0. Found out that my feet float like crazy,...

Finished the confined water dives on Thursday. Still have to take quick review and do open water, but that won`t be until the water warms up in May....

Finished eLearning & CW Dives 1 & 2
Well, I had my first confined water dives with Megan of Pleasure Divers on Thursday, Feb 21, 2008. I can`t believe how cool it was! We did dives 1 & 2. Have to setup the date for the rest of my confined dives but then wait until May (warmer water) to do open water....
