Eve - 7/18/2010 5:59 PM
My husband and I and another Diver, by the name of Matt took our boat out of Morehead city today to enjoy the water, and we did, came in just before the storm hit, yeah. Went to our favorite local restaurant. The Sanitary restaurant food is okay but atmosphere is better, any way sitting at a table near the water relaxing when I noticed that some people that were seated behind us, or before us depending on where you are at . One of them had on a chicagolandscuba.com t shirt , so of course we get ...
Crazyscuba.com closing for good
Eve - 6/29/2010 6:27 PM
CrazyScuba.com is Closing in August! Hey Divers I just celebrated my 25th year as President and owner of Aqua Adventures and CrazyScuba.com. When I came in last week, I had an offer from Dad to go to work on the family cattle ranch in East Texas. Well after thinking about it for a few days, I thought 25 years is enough of any one thing and that if I am ever going to do something new, it is either now or never. So I am going into the cattle business! Hey, with the Gulf oil spill shutting down 30%...

Headed out to watch the family dive the rock wall at Radio Island, it was perfect weather for the dive. Launched the boat with no problems, headed to Olympus Dive center to rent the air tanks and some regulators. We were able to dock the boat at their pier, tie off, go rent the tanks and the regulators, oh don’t forget extra weights. They also had ice for sale which we needed since we forgot the ice! everyone at Olympus was very nice and very helpful. Thank you Olympus dive center, we will be ba...

Dive Sites
Eve - 1/23/2009 9:03 PM
I have been doing some number crunching with the dive site entries and I have come up with this. The dive site section has been launched approx. 6 months ago and to date we have 2037 sites posted. So I figure it to be approx 11.316 sites entered daily. Pretty good numbers if you ask me , but I think it can be better. I think divebuddy.com can be the premire site for listing dive sites from around the world. So that is my challenge to all dive buddies. Take that number of 11.316 sites entered dai...

Eve - 9/29/2008 11:56 AM
Just call me the "Point Fairy", starting the first of October I will be giving away points. I cannot bail anyone out as our Goverment may do, I cannot give any financial loans. All I can do is give points. No application is required, no entering dive site information, you do not need to do anything special, nothing more then what you are already doing. I will randomly pick someone to give points to. Maybe I like the pictures you posted , maybe the blog you wrote or maybe just because I want to. ...

History of Scuba Diving
Eve - 5/28/2008 12:17 PM
History of Scuba Diving People have been diving ever since primitive man was forced to collect food from the sea. We know this because scientists found undersea artifacts on land and there are depictions of divers in ancient drawings. Men and women have practiced breath-hold diving for thousands of years and there always been an interest in trying to find out how to stay underwater longer. This type of diving is still practiced today in different variations - freediving and skin diving. History ...
Haymarket
Eve - 5/13/2008 6:59 AM
Just a bit if trivia for those who dive the Haymarket quarry. My husband and I would swim in the quarry back in 1974 thru 1980. At that time it was not open to divers or anyone else for that matter. Yes we were trespassing, but it was the seventies ! We enjoyed it then and feel sure that it is enjoyed today still. Good to hear that an old hang out is still in use. Eve...
