I’ll never forget July 30-31 as I watched my 12 year old grandson, Logan, complete his certification dives at Gilboa. Don’t know when I’ve ever been more proud of him. Logan has been pestering me for a few years wanting to become a scuba diver. He has always wanted to be a Navy Seal and said he had to get started on his scuba diving. I was excited and looking forward to diving with a crew from Tiedemann’s Dive Center, Levittown, NY at the Ponquoque Bridge. I had just recovered (so I thought) from ear infections (yes both ears) from my last dive trip and was rea...

A great big thanks to the West Virginia Scuba Divers and Divebuddy for giving me the opportunity to meet some great divers. I attended the Portage Quarry Legends Weekend August 7-8-9 and arranged to dive with a couple of great guys from the West Virginia Scuba Divers Club whom I met on this site. So here’s to Hobie and Charstew. By the way, Charstew, can cook some mean steaks.. they were great! On Saturday we did four dive’s with the deepest at 51 feet which was really appreciated since I’m rea...
