Video of SeaLab III - US Navy Aquanauts Experiment 1969 Video of SeaLab III - US Navy Aquanauts Experiment 1969
Greg - 1/14/2014 8:20 AM
This is a great video showing experiments from SeaLab III. "SeaLab III was a 1968 Navy experiment in which five diving teams of eight aquanauts lived for a 12-day period in a sea-floor habitat placed at a depth of 620 feet off San Clemente Island, California. The Deep Submergence Systems Project. This film describes the SeaLab III project. It includes footage of the SeaLab habitat being lifted from the deck of a ship and deployed at sea. It shows divers working underwater during the deployment o...

It’s official!...with 33.7% of the votes..."Into the Blue" has been rated the best scuba diving movie of all time! Released in 2005, this movie has become an inspiration to scuba divers, in more ways than one :) Sam and Jared are a young couple in the Bahamas, divers and aspiring treasure hunters. While the arrogant salvager Bates has loads of expensive equipment, Jared gets by with a small, battered boat. Jared and Sam find a historic wreck, but nearby is a wrecked airplane with a large quantit...

GoPro Lens fix via Mako Spears
NoCoastDiver - 10/25/2011 8:13 AM
How many times have you set up a cool dive and wanted to show it to all your friends. So you buy the latest, greatest toy, a GoPro Hero HD, at the dive shop and head out. You giant stride into the water, fire up the camera and shoot some amazing sights. Rushing home, you excitedly upload your videos and photos into your computer and get to re-experience your dive.....all out of focus. What??? Well after experiencing the wonderful "out of focus" issues associated with the standard GoPro cases mys...

thinking of getting uw video system
greysquirrel - 5/13/2010 2:14 PM
I have been looking at getting into an underwater video system. As you all know they are a little pricey. Ikelite and JVC have come out with a package system with the JVC Picsio video camera. The price is right for me, ($760.00 for the deluxe package). I was wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with this system. The Ikelite web site has a sample video that is supposed to have been filmed with the system that seems to be really nice however I notice in the video that the people us...
Dutch Springs
scubaclay - 4/26/2009 1:50 PM
Did a short 30 minute dive at Dutch Springs yesterday. Forgot to register for the Easter Egg Hunt but found 4 eggs, No prizes. Water wat great at 42 degrees, with 60 foot viz. Tried to use my camera but have to learn to turn it on with dry gloves on. Looking forward to seeing Glenns video, as he is working on his new video camera. His last endever was very good , after his editing. Of course he could have had better subject matter. It is amazing that even I can look good with a little editing. H...

Unsure about a camera?
BeachBumDiver - 2/18/2009 12:15 PM
For those of you that are having a hard time decide on a new camera or beginner camera, I would highly recommend the Sea Life DC-800 with the extra flash. Well worth the investment and takes very good pictures out of the water as well. I have more pictures under and above water if anyone would like to see. Here is video of a Sea Turtle from the Phlippines while diving with my good buddy Ana. Hope you enjoy.

ScubaVisions TV is a weekly (more or less - if I’m not out on a dive adventure!) video podcast in which we take you on a tour of a single dive site. It’s a great way to explore a new site or dive destination. Generally we cover several sites at each dive destination. We are just wrapping up a series on Little Cayman....

DiveBuddy needs your comments. But not through email...I want video! We will most likely be going to tradeshows this year to help build our little community of divers. I want to showcase DiveBuddy member confessions in video format to tradeshow visitors. So setup a digital video camera and record your personal confession about DiveBuddy and why you love it so much. Make it funny, make it serious, make it weird, make it your own...just make sure you`re nice :) And don`t use words you wouldn`t say...
