Wakatobi - SulawesiI recently returned from a trip to WAKATOBI on the south east corner of Sulawesi, Indonesia. The one thing I wanted to share with everyone is this.. I had heard mention of the macro photography opportunities located in this part of the world, but I guess I really did not know what this really meant. And here is what I mean by that comment ... So in the Carri bean you see seahorses and then you think about the Pygmy seahorse and you have the same impression; you`ll be able to see these pygmy`s like you can see the sea horses in the Caribbean. Well that is not the case. In fact after diving a day or two later I decided to go and purchase a magnifying glass. So the term macro photography in conjunction with Indonesia means Micro Macro photography. If you are planning a trip to the part of the world and you have the great aspirations to shoot pygmy`s or any of the other small creatures that the area is known for - make sure you have the equipment you`ll need to first find the critter and second to capture it with the camera. I had no idea that the pygmy for example is almost impossible to see with the naked eye. Johanna
