Lake Rawlings First Annual Dive Buddy GatheringWell it happened and if your reading this thinking that the weather, this past Saturday 11 August, was going to be lousy at Lake Rawlings, you missed out as it was great. Because of the storms Friday we did not have the great vis that we normally have however as one poster has already noted it was not bad and they got a great photo of the drop off. While the water does cool at the thermo climb it was great to ride right there between 30 and 40 feet getting cooled off with the other Dive Buddies there and then back to the top where the water was a warm 86f.

While we did not have the turn out that we had hoped and noeltime13 missed the photo we still stuck her in it just the same. Modern technology is great :-) With noeltime13, smfdiver, myself and a couple others we had a great time all together. Although working I was able to get in an early dive and introduce the others to people around the area and know that they went in a few more times.

We look forward to next year when hopefully more will attend. If we do not see you then consider the dive fest that is coming up at the end of the month as there are always awesome prizes given away then. So if your looking for a new BCD, Tank or something else this may just be your opportunity..
