I am sitting in the shop waiting for the boat to come back, wondering if everyone passed. This IDC took 12 days plus 7 days of extra study and coaching. Of course we will be very proud if the guys pass. Yesterday was the first day and unfortunately one of the boys did not pass the standards exam so he has to come back for the next IE, which hopefully will be the first week of September. He kept a good spirit and continued with his presentation were he scored a 4.5 for. He’ll pass next time around. The others did great yesterday and today is just their open water sessions, so keep my fingers crossed, but they should be doing fine.
