Because the Diver Technologist must implement a unique investigative process that adapt to the underwater environment, crime scene investigations no longer end at the water’s edge. These necessary adaptations add to the land-based CSI arsenal of “weapons” he/she may use, providing additional ways to process the crime scene, eliminating many problems that are associated with the submerged victim.
