Diving Journalists Visit LanzaroteWe think Lanzarote offers some of the best diving in the world, and we’re delighted to report that other people think the same!

Hot news this week is that three German journalists were taken diving in Puerto del Carmen and will be writing it up for their magazines.

Jorge Ceballos, from Timanfaya Sub, who is president of the Association of diving clubs in Lanzarote took the three on a dive at Playa Chica.

Marc Hillesheim writes for Atlantis, with an average circulation of 17,000 copies in Germany, Switzerland and Austria; Rolf Eichinger, for Unterwasser  - a monthly publication with a circulation of 28,684 copies and average 13,559 subscribers, and Frank Schneider for Tauchen monthly magazine, the largest circulation in Europe with 35,021 copies and 15,734 subscribers.

Later in the week, the journalists also dived at Costa Teguise, Playa Blanca, and the Chinijo Archipelago Marine Reserve, guided by technical and professional clubs Timanfaya Sub, Native diving, Rubicon Dive Center and Chinijo Archipelago.

Lanzarote Tourism expressed their gratitude to all who had made the trip possible and went on to say they had helped to “undoubtedly reinforce the strategic promotion of one of the greatest treasures of Lanzarote, as part of our project to be the European Sports Destination.”
