Many of my colleagues have considered me a diversified and seasoned public safety professional. I have over twenty years of emergency experience as a front line responder. In 1993, I began working full-time in emergency services in the Southeastern Michigan area. In 1996 after six years as a recreational scuba diver, I was recruited by my local sheriffs office and began working as a public safety recovery diver were I executed subsurface inland water rescues and recoveries in area lakes, rivers and ponds.

Being a public safety recovery diver, I performed specialized search patterns to locate and recover human remains, capsized boats, submerged vehicles, weapons and other evidence used in criminal prosecution. I learned valuable skills when it comes to paying attention to detail. I was also able to perfect techniques and skills to ensure personal and team safety. I’ve worked in both fresh and contaminated waters along with confined space environments that would be considered inherently dangerous to life and health. I’ve conducted operations both day and night in summer and winter with the majority of my professional diving being in zero-visibility conditions.

My family and I relocated to Central Florida in the summer of 2015. We left a high unemployment, crime infested and poverty stricken life behind for a brighter future. I happy to report we doing much better. I’m currently working within the theme park and attractions market for Sea World Parks & Entertainment. It has been several years since I last dove. How every, that will soon be changing now that my wife and kids (Teenagers) are expressing interest in becoming certified.

We welcome the opportunity to make new friends and meet other families in Central Florida who share the same interests.
