The Motor Reef Wreck (Photo taken by Pedro Padilla of Island Scuba, Guanica PR) The this site is located on Motor Reef, near Turrumote Cay, off La Parguera. The wreckage lies approximately five miles offshore, at a depth of 55 feet. Dives on the immediate site area revealed only a solitary but largely intact radial aircraft engine, with a single loose component lying nearby. The engine is encased in its cowling, and the propeller is attached and largely undamaged. Interestingly, the propeller bl...
Tekkie La Femme
Scubablog - 12/05/2013 3:48 PM
I recall being angry when I looked at the seminar listings at the AquaCorps Tek Conference in the early 1990s. There was a session called “Tekkie la Femme” designed for women to gather together and talk about the potential of getting involved in technical diving. There was also a session about DPVs. Why wasn’t it […] The post Tekkie La Femme appeared first on Scuba-Blog.com....
Diving in La Paz BCS Mexico!!!
Sea-lion - 4/30/2010 5:47 PM
For years we were already planning to go to Mexico and finally we did it! We went to the Baja Sur and stayed 6 days in La Paz, after we drove down to Cabo San Lucas where we stayed 2 days, then to Cabo Pulmo for 2 days and up again back to La Paz. We always want to dive in our vacations, especially when it’s to a warm place!! So we booked 5 days of diving in La Paz with a company called Baja Aventuras (www.baja-aventuras.com). I have to say it was a great experience!! We did so many nice dives a...
Rincon de la Vieja
Richcoast - 10/12/2009 1:47 PM
Last Sunday we went to Rincon de la Vieja with almost all the Rich Coast crew. The reason for this adventurous day trip was Brenda’s birthday. Well, it was actually her pre-birthday party since her birthday is not untill the 21st of October. However we had a blast! We rented a little bus, and left at 7am from Rich Coast. Our first stop was the McDonalds in Liberia. We had to pick one of our instructors up and we were a little bit faster than expected so we had some time to drink a cup of coffee....
